GHRC Goals
The Global Health Research Collaborative is a College of Medicine Dean’s office initiative aimed at building a community of global health researchers at UIC. The GHRC initiative is co-chaired by Dr Stacie Geller, PhD and Dr Stevan Weine, MD and has a core advisory council comprised of Drs. Donna Baptiste, PhD, Geri Donenberg, PhD, Janet Lin, MD, MPH and Karen Peters, DrPH. The collaborative was formed in 2008 to strengthen and expand opportunities for innovative multidisciplinary global health research at UIC.
GHRC Goals: Many scientists and units at UIC are already conducting global health research. The objective of the GHRC is to expand our community of research scientists, promote networking, facilitate the exchange of ideas, and strengthen the College of Medicine’s research portfolio in global health.
